Instead of only editing, rebuild sections with your own arguments, personal examples, and unique wording. Keep drafts to show your writing process if questioned.

Even after editing, the overall structure and phrasing patterns of AI-generated essays often remain. Detectors focus on those patterns, not just individual sentences.

I used an AI Essay Generator to draft my essay, then I rewrote many sentences myself. But the AI detector still says it’s mostly AI. Why?
