AI detectors cannot separate small AI edits from full AI writing. Even minor rewriting can change sentence structure into patterns that resemble machine output.

This is why policies need updating. Students and professionals increasingly use AI for proofreading, just like Grammarly. Detection tools cannot fairly penalize normal editing assistance.
